Individual Wellness Education and Coaching

Promote Health Consulting offers wellness education and coaching for busy professionals who want to make healthier choices for themselves and their families; specific packages are designed to meet the needs of each client.

How It Works

I’m often asked how we do this. Here’s how:

I offer one-on-one, phone-based coaching. Most new clients choose a package of three 45-minute phone meetings per month for a minimum of 3 months, although this can vary based on your needs. This commitment allows us time to assess your situation, goals, values, and needs; create a wellness plan; and provide the education and support that you need to begin making substantial progress. After the initial 3 months, we'll assess your ongoing needs. Some clients need less structured support after that time; others prefer to continue frequent calls in order to maintain momentum. You can always check in with me by email between calls, as needed.

When we design your wellness plan together, we will always include the following areas:

  • Eating habits.
  • Physical activity.
  • Mind-body wellness, including sleep and relaxation practices.
  • The influence of relationships, work, and other areas of your life on your health-related habits.

Other issues will be addressed based on your needs.

What We Cover

Each coaching call is different, but may include:

  • Uncovering your deepest values (what is truly important to you!) and how they connect to your current and desired health practices.
  • Creating clear, specific, and meaningful goals.
  • Checking in on your recent progress.
  • Identifying the obstacles to your progress that inevitably crop up along the way.
  • Educating you about health, wellness, and coping effectively with stress.
  • Brainstorming ways to accomplish your goals and solutions to problems.
  • Committing to the “homework” steps that you feel will get you moving, and to a plan for accountability and follow-up.

Group Coaching

Group coaching can be a way to get the benefits of coaching at a lower financial cost. In addition, some people find the group setting to be a valuable source of support and accountability. Group coaching can be done very effectively via phone conference call; in-person groups can be arranged in the Albuquerque, NM area. Groups are assembled based on interest; please contact me for information.
